I talked to Bob. He is in Eucla Australia smack dab in the middle of the Nullabar.
He rode 351 kilometers approx 211 miles (a personal record) on the 18th of October. He got 4 hours on his phone card but can't hook up to internet. If he can do 205 K and 300 K the next two days he will be through the nullarbor and back to a land of decent restaurants and readily available gatorade.

I am very impressed with your determination. I look forward to the next update and the website looks great. I have found the pictures and narrations to be very interesting and informative.
With all of the birds attacking you, aren’t you glad that "boinga boinga's" don't fly!
When you return to Charlotte, lets get you with the Saturday morning riding group. After this trip, we will have to all buy touring bikes and let you lead us on a mini-trek through town.

This in some ways predates the Bob journal and hence may encroach on Bob's and Lisa's thunder when they report on the start to Bob's Down Under Trundle. For those of you who have known B & L much longer than I, thanks for encouraging them to lob into our lovely city yesterday. We Adelaideans who met them appreciate the generosity, spirit and intellect of both and thoroughly enjoyed our meal with them last night. This was after a day of messing about that stalled the scheduled ride in some parts of Adelaide.
Bob Lee, after reading your message perhaps it was best that I scored a puncture this morning as I was intending to ride a little ways with Bob but my lateness curtailed that notion quick-smart. Gave me time to write this instead.
bob and Lisa: such a short stay did not do the city justice and certainly not the cycling available here but we hope that you are able to return some day to experience at least the Barossa (excellent area for cycling between wineries) and the hills and trails so accessible from the city. You will see some of that on your travels to Murray Bridge this morning.
For any others of Bob's Cycling Tribe that are contemplating a trip Down Under you will be more than welcome here.
All the best Bob and Lisa and thanks again for an excellent day.
